Teeth Whitening Results
If you’re interested in teeth whitening UK, there are several reliable options available for you. Depending on just how much you want to spend and how long you want your whitening treatments to last, you can make the decision on which option is best for you.
Laser Treatments
Laser treatments to whiten teeth are performed right in the dentist’s practice. Not every dentist has a laser whitening facility, so you’ll need to shop around to see who can successfully perform this procedure for you. Some lasers can fully whiten all the teeth in as little as twenty minutes, but other less powered ones require several visits for a total of one to two hours of comprehensive laser whitening treatment in total. If you’re going to use the laser route, be prepared to spend the most money of all three options.
Dental Kits
You can obtain special dental whitening kits at the dentist. These kits are less expensive than laser treatments but don’t last as long. Usually the kits are composed of special pastes and separate plastic trays in which you have to insert onto your teeth every night and sleep with the product in your mouth. There’s no pain at all associated with this process, but you may at first experience a minor tingling sensation that goes away over time.
Do It Yourself Tooth Whitening
If you want to spend the least amount of money and don’t mind waiting a longer period of time to get your teeth whitened, you can buy non-prescription whitening kits and toothpastes. These have to be applied yourself outside of the dentist’s office but are relatively easy to do.
Normally, you have to perform a combination of brushing three times a day with a special toothpaste and brush and in addition you have to fill plastic tooth support trays with potent whitening cream. You often need to wear these trays up to eight hours a day, usually when you sleep, but the total whitening process can take several months. This can be an excellent option for people who don’t mind being in charge of the entire whitening process and who are not in any rush to get their teeth fully white.
